A-H / I-P / Q-Z

Dominic Alford                                                                                                                             Minnesota

Mostly played T in college but doesn't have the feet to stay out there.  Has good size with long arms.  Has good strength and at times can be a dominant run blocker.  Has really inconsistent technique.  At times he bends at the waist and reaches for the defender.  He isn't athletic enough to readjust real well.  Isn't really able to get to the second level but has the potential to be a solid in the box type player.  Anchors well and is hard for defenders to get off of if he gets his hands on them.  Missed a bit of time this past season due to a suspension and injury.  Has ability and figures to maybe get a shot as a developmental player.

David Arkin                                                                                                                                Missouri St

Small school player who has a nasty demeanor and is athletic.  Can really run and pull.  He will battle and likes to finish blocks.  Has good height but lacks some bulk.  Has the frame to add weight which he could really use.  Struggles at times getting movement in the run game or anchoring in pass protection, especially against bigger defenders.  Can be a decent knee bender but from time to time will play a little high.  Good developmental prospect who will need a some time to get a little bigger but has potential to possibly develop into a starter down the road.

John Bender                                                                                                                                      Nevada

Mountain of a man.  Plays too high and overextends a lot.  Spends a lot of time on the ground and doesn't finish blocks.  More of a get in your way type blocker.  Has some athleticism for his size, just doesn't do much with it.  Has some potential and was better this past year than he was the year before.  Developmental prospect who might not have the right mentality.

Mike Berry                                                                                                                                        Auburn

Has good size and strength.  Team typically had most of their rushing success behind him.  Plays with decent knee bend and does a good job pulling.  Doesn't have elite quickness but can get to the second level and seal off the LB.  Had some good performances against high level competition.  Really did a tremendous job on Drake Nevis and even pancaked him once.  Nevis eventually lined up on the other side of the line.  At times will struggle a little with quickness lined up right over him.  Doesn't have a lot of versatility.  Solid college player who is a little underrated.  Might not get drafted but could help a team.

Michael Booker                                                                                                                  Northwestern St

Big wide body.  Has decent athleticism for his size.  Has decent feet.  Dominated his level of competition but also appeared to be much bigger than his competition.  Gets good movement in his run blocking.  Could benefit from losing weight.  Is making a big jump in competition but he could be an interesting developmental type.

Justin Boren                                                                                                                                      Ohio St

Experienced player who has some versatility.  Can play C as well and might get a look there.  Plays with good knee bend and a flat back.  Has a good understanding of blocking angles and has good strength.  Has a little bit of a mean streak.  Battles but is a limited athlete.  Struggles a little with quick defenders.  Has short arms.  Struggles to redirect and struggles some in open space.  Doesn't always do a good job of maintaining blocks, either in run blocking or pass blocking.  Solid player who will provide value due to his versatility.  Can start as a backup for multiple positions and could possibly develop into a starter down the road.

Bryant Browning                                                                                                                               Ohio St

Has good size and moves fairly well.  Plays a little high.  Is a waist bender and is a little stiff.  Has good strength.  Is better in close quarters than he is in open space.  Has some ability but is limited athletically.

B.J. Cabbell                                                                                                                                      Virginia

Has good size and likes to be physical.  Has decent athleticism but it doesn't always translate onto the field.  Every now and then will show glimpses of being a dominant type blocker.  Plays with really poor technique.  Plays pretty high and doesn't get much movement in his run blocking despite his size.  Plays flat footed which gets him out of position and makes him susceptible to quicker defenders.  In addition to that, he doesn't really trust himself yet and ends up getting needless penalties.  Isn't overly flexible.  Won't get drafted but might get an opportunity as a developmental prospect because he has really good size and athleticism.  He will just need a lot of work.

Matt Carufel                                                                                                                                Minnesota

Has decent size.  Fires off the ball and is aggressive.  Brawler type who plays with decent knee bend.  Not overly athletic but not completely stiff.  Transferred from Notre Dame after his sophomore season.  Is tough.  Doesn't always look pretty but is fairly productive.  Could get a chance as a free agent.

Garrett Chisolm                                                                                                                    South Carolina

Has good height but could use some more bulk and strength.  Has the frame to add it.  Has decent feet and does a decent job run blocking.  Former walk-on who has only played these past two seasons.  Went through a really tough 2010 personally, lost his mother to cancer in January and lost his father to cancer in September.  Also suffered an ACL injury late in the season.  Needs to improve his strength and pass protection skills.  Has a strong work ethic and isn't overly developed so he could get a shot as a developmental type.

Thomas Claiborne                                                                                                                Boston College

Wide body who has some power.  Has some nastiness to him and moves fairly well for a big guy.  Isn't dominate like you would think.  Really struggles to maintain his blocks both in run blocking and pass protection.  Gets overextended and has poor balance.  Struggles to block in open space.  Has a propensity for dumb penalties.  Has good ability for his size so he could hear his name called late in the draft but will need some time to improve his technique.

Johnny Culbreath                                                                                                             South Carolina St

Small school T who doesn't really have the feet to stay outside.  Has good size and athletic ability.  Is a fairly aggressive player.  Needs to improve technique.  Struggles to maintain blocks.  Developmental type who may have some versatility.

Lou Eliades                                                                                                                                        Penn St

Played T but is a better fit at G.  Is not the best knee bender and has slow feet for T.  Played G in 2009.  Has good size.  Smart player who is physical.  Is a decent run blocker and his pass protection skills translate alright inside.  Suffered a torn ACL this past season.  Before the injury looked like a potential undrafted free agent pickup but might not get a look now with the injury.

Sioeli Fakalata                                                                                                                     New Mexico St

Large man who is a little inconsistent.  At times can be dominate and will rack up some pancakes.  Is aggressive and plays with a chip on his shoulder.  Is pretty light on his feet despite his size and is able to pull.  Other times though, he has a tendency to stop his feet and overextend.  When he does that he struggles to maintain blocks and at times will whiff.  Could be a good developmental prospect who will need some time.

Joel Figueroa                                                                                                                              Miami (Fla)

Missed most of this past season due to injury and has applied for a medical redshirt but as of right now there has been no word as to whether it will be granted and he currently is not on the roster.  Played T this past season but lacks the feet to stay out there.  Looks much more natural at G.  Has really good size.  He competes and is hard to move.  Anchors pretty well in pass protection.  Struggles a little with quick pass rushers and blitzers.  Doesn't always get a lot of movement in his run blocking because at times he gets stalemated due to playing too high.  Solid player who plays with good effort.  Has some value as a backup but probably will go undrafted.

Orlando Franklin                                                                                                                        Miami (Fla)

Has good size.  Played T and could still get a look there but might be a better fit inside.  Has long arms but struggles a little laterally.  Really struggles with speed and quickness off the corner which is why he will be better inside.  Also doesn't have a good punch and ends up catching defenders and struggles to control them in open space.  Does a decent job anchoring.  Pass protection skills are better for inside.  Has some explosiveness and is a pretty good run blocker.  Does a good job keeping his feet moving and does a good job pulling.  Has good athleticism and potential.  With a little bit of technique work he could develop into a really good player on the next level.

Chris Hairston                                                                                                                                 Clemson

Has good size.  Played T and could get a look at RT but will be a better G.  Has a good punch.  Is a little bit of a waist bender and doesn't have quick feet, which is why he will be better inside.  Has good size and good strength.  Defenders have a hard time getting off his blocks when he gets his hands on them.  At times he buries defenders when run blocking.  Figures to be a middle round pick and has the potential to be a solid player on the next level.

Derek Hall                                                                                                                                       Stanford

Has good height.  Has decent but not great bulk.  Played T but will be a better fit at G.  Struggles to bend his knees and has slow feet.  Is not overly flexible.  At times he struggles to anchor, partially due to his lack of bulk.  Has long arms and moves ok.  Does a good job getting out in front of screens.  Doesn't shy away from contact and is a decent run blocker.  Developmental type who is worth a look.

Brandon Harper                                                                                                                                    Duke

Has decent size.  Is a former DL and plays with good demeanor.  Has only been on offense a couple years and it shows.  Has poor technique and doesn't understand blocking angles.  Has a tendency to overextend and bend at the waist.  Doesn't maintain blocks.  Has some athleticism and every once in a while will deliver a great block but he is a developmental guy who has a long way to go, so he might not get a shot.

Ricky Henry                                                                                                                                  Nebraska

Has good size.  Plays with good knee bend and a flat back.  Does a really good job driving the defender out of the hole.  Really opened up some big holes over the coarse of the season.  Is a little slow off the snap and has a tendency to stand straight up when he goes to pull.  Is not overly athletic and will struggle some in space.  Struggles with athletic pass rushers.  Feet aren't real quick.  Struggled with instructions at the combine.  Good run blocker who will need to improve pass protection in order to stick.

Darryl Hicks                                                                                                                              Delaware St

Solid small college player.  Has good size and is physical.  Dominant run blocker on his level of competition.  Gets good movement.  Runs alright for a big guy and can get out in front of screen passes.  Plays with good knee bend and a flat back.  Has good strength.  Struggles some in pass protection because he struggles laterally.  Is a little under the radar.  Will be making a big jump in competition but he did a solid job on Kenrick Ellis who is a draftable prospect.  Won't get drafted but could be worth bringing to camp.

Rodney Hudson                                                                                                                             Florida St

Lacks size but is short and stout.  Doesn't have real long arms but has quick hands.  Is quick and athletic and does a good job getting under defenders pads.  Gets good leverage.  Gives good effort and sticks to blocks.  Doesn't drive defenders downfield but understands blocking angles and is really effective.  Has good strength and can't be knocked off his pins because he has really good balance and quick feet.  Does a good job getting to the second level.  Despite his lack of bulk he does a good job anchoring in pass protection.  Doesn't really look the part but is really effective.  Was solid in the Senior Bowl as well.  Has some experience and the skill set to also play C.  Has some versatility and grades out at a high level.  Likely will hear his name called somewhere in the second round.

Randall Hunt                                                                                                                                       Illinois

Has good size and will flash athletic ability.  Has some strength.  Has a tendency to play too high and doesn't keep his feet moving.  Ends up doing a lot of grabbing.  Failed to completely win the coaches trust so he ended up rotating at times rather than being the undisputed starter.  Has some ability but needs some work.

Rod Huntley                                                                                                                                         UTEP

Has good size and strength.  Is physical and can get some movement in the run game.  Isn't a consistent knee bender and isn't overly athletic.  Struggles out in space and doesn't run real well.  Has a tendency to overextend a lot.  Decent college player who might get a chance because of his run blocking abilities.

Zach Hurd                                                                                                                                   Connecticut

Big guy who is a physical player.  Real good run blocker who likes to slug it out in the trenches.  Has good strength, locks onto defenders and drives them downfield.  Has a tendency to play a little high but gets away with it on this level due to his strength.  Runs well and can pull.  Has a little nastiness about him.  Struggles a little in pass protection.  Is not real quick laterally and isn't a consistent knee bender.  Is hard to get around but will have to improve his pass protection skills for the next level.  They didn't throw the ball a ton so might be a little raw in pass protection.  Really good run blocker who will need to improve in pass protection in order to see the field.

Maurice Hurt                                                                                                                                     Florida

Has decent size.  At times played at T as well.  Doesn't have the feet or length to stay out there.  Fires off the ball and shows really good quickness.  At times he gets good leverage and really drives the defender.  Not as highly acclaimed as some of his teammates on the OL but it seemed that most of the time when there was a big block, he was the one popping up.  Gives good effort and is pretty productive.  Is a little under the radar but is a player who can develop into a decent OL.
